Book Diary: Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World (Haruki Murakami)

There are no notes on when, where, or why I read this one and I can’t remember at what point I picked it up, but here’s what I wrote after I finished it.

HARD-BOILED WONDERLAND AND THE END OF THE WORLD, Haruki Murakami

(finished reading on 30/01/2010)

I think (think) I’ve now read all of Murakami’s fiction.  I’m running out of room in the ‘M’ section of this diary anyway, so I must have.  Once again, as always with me and Murakami, reading this made me feel hungry, made me want to live in Tokyo and gave me an overwhelming craving for beer.  It was very tight struturally, which some readers don’t like, but I do.  I wanted the neat, happy ending, but didn’t get it.  Which, afterwards, I was pleased about.
